My practice is centred on painted reproductions of Australian flora and the ocean, that are saturated and skewed. Oscillating between personal, expressive action and an obsessive fascination with texture and colour. This process of collecting, altering and responding is driven by a need to document, preserve and make sense of my surroundings. Engaging with people and our innate connection to natural environments, these works act as a form of portraiture, representing both myself and as a mirror to their viewers.
