Kitt Falkner Babbel
In my Honours application, I proposed to make the best artwork and become the best artist. Although tongue-in-cheek, I believed that by explicitly stating and addressing these egoistic goals my project might function as a conceptual provocation and, in doing so, expose for collaborative discussion, analysis and critique the extrinsic and intrinsic values which might come to shape my future as an artist. While I plan to continue developing my research and refining my thesis for many years to come, for the graduate exhibition I have boiled down vast quantities of dense theoretical content into an initial, rudimentary working theory for the production of good art. For your consideration and enjoyment I thus present my good art: iteration 1 and iteration 2.
