My work focuses on re-building, re-structuring and re-narrating images from dreams, landscapes or structures. I’m curious about material potentials and experimentation, learning and medium expansion – with an overwhelming urge to control and strive for perfection, those attempts, limitations, flaws I have in the process of making and conceptualising work is perceivable.
My research is drawn to perceptual differences between cultures and societies, in speculative relational connections and ‘presencing’ of stories and experience. In my attempts to construct a space of in-between, psychological signifiers of symbols, memories, textures, experience and feeling can be found in the intention to assimilate, noticed incongruence and emphatic acceptance.
