I am a mixed medium artist/photographer whose works utilise the rich history of the found object, with collaboration on self portraiture as a method of conveying personal aesthetic and understanding self. With qualities of industrial material and cinema history, my art speaks to how I visualise myself in public and personal spaces through a variety of found objects and photos, alongside personal memories and nostalgia inspired by ambient music, and abstract paintings, often with sinister undertones. My art takes an absurdist approach to the nature of the self portrait, appearing as comedic, or satirical, to combat my concerns on being in public, and the physical discomfort. Joining me in my catalogue are representations of popular culture figures, who aid me in valuing enjoyment in the bodies I make, and further my studies in film culture, and film history.
