Isabella Mesiti

Isabella Mesiti is a neurodivergent artist with an affinity for 2000s-era tech, CRTs, internet culture, and outer space. At her essence, she is a storyteller, weaving narratives into her installations. Influenced by fables, fairytales and mythology, Isabella experiments with exhibition to explore her imagined worlds. Isabella wants to pursue animation, concept art and character design after her time at the VCA.

‘i pretend the spots in my vision are stars’ is a work that delves into the realms of dreams, nightmares, trauma and memory. Through fragmented glow-in-the-dark stars, showing one’s memories misplaced returned in small flashes, the viewer is invited into a scene that they may not necessarily understand, but immerses them in unease…
