Grace Andrews

I am a sound, image, video, and installation artist preoccupied with the impulse to listen and look where I shouldn’t. Memory and narrative anchor my practice, drawing me to overlooked fragments of human presence. I work with traces; small residues of communication, fleeting gestures, and unseen details that carry immediacy, closeness, hesitation, and ordinariness. Afraid to forget what I love, I collect and hoard images and voices. Stretching, layering, and recontextualising these relics, I build immersive spaces that resist passive observation and reveal how absence often speaks loudly. I want viewers cornered, implicated – unable to slip past.
