What is my hand thinking? Is this the key question behind this inquiry? Movement through drawing in this context represents a unique kinaesthetic and sensory experience. The relationship between embodied knowledge, material interaction, and the transient nature of time and space frames my drawing practice as an active and evolving dialogue. My investigation focuses on the dynamic exchange between conscious thought and embodied knowledge within the creative act, recognising that this convergence of sensory input and corporeal sensibility influences the process. Interactions with dynamics such as movement, force, weight, space, and time fundamentally shape the creative process. Viewing the hand as more than just a tool, but as a vital agent in drawing capable of transforming lived experience into visible forms of expression, underlines the interconnectedness between kinetic movement, cognitive processes, and manifestation.
