Antonino Muratore
Via photography, writing and installation, my work explores the reciprocal dynamic between personal circumstances and creative productivity. As a relation, the space a practice inhabits, the people with which it coexists, and the external pressures to perform are not merely influences but also co-authors. When creative production and dailiness are entangled, they have the potential to expand yet also risk exploiting one another. This project asks how the continuous representation of dailiness through photography and writing alters perception and our material conditions, by examining the artwork’s coextensive dependence on the context of its inhabitants through experimentation with encountering the photograph and literary fragment.
