I made chicken legs out of bees wax…
They say don’t be a chicken, but what if I cant help it…
Through my evocation of the chicken, I hope to produce a re-evaluation of our relationship to the bird. To see what I see. These chickens employ elements of humour through the absurdity of their likeness. A chicken made entirely of legs is nonsensical. Legs that exist with no body to carry, no mind to direct their next step, and yet they do not lack direction or purpose. Logically they should not function, but they defy the odds.
The chicken prevails despite what we think of her… not really, but in my world she does.
